Our Restored Italian Villa
La Vecchia Scuola (“The Old Schoolhouse”) is an exceptionally comfortable and welcoming stone and brick home dating from approximately the turn of the twentieth century. Immaculately restored by local craftsmen using original stones and beams, it looks out on an idyllic vista of patchwork fields, gnarled olive groves and orchards, and the occasional verdant grapevine. Its rose-filled garden tumbles down towards the superb, glossy pool which in turn mirrors the surrounding landscape.

The Villa Restoration
We fell in love with a neglected old home in Le Marche, Italy, and brought it back to life! Click on the button below to see photographs of how the property was when we first purchased it, and some of our story about the process. It’s been quite the journey!Connect & Relax
La Vecchia Sculoa offers both large, open spaces and cosy intimate nooks – perfect for long relaxing days by the pool overlooking the gardens, great conversations over lunch in the sun-drenched terrace, and enjoying a glass of red by the living room fireplace.
The property was originally the home of a farmer and his extended family. What is now an exceptionally beautiful and spacious main bedroom with adjoining en suite bathroom was used as a school room for the children from the surrounding farms.
Explore & Discover
Opportunities abound to enjoy the beautiful beaches of the Adriatic or for the nature-lovers, hiking, mountain-biking and horse riding in the nearby Sibillini National Park.
For those with cultural interests, there are numerous picturesque hilltop villages within close proximity to the property where one can while away the hours wandering the narrow streets or visiting the many churches and museums. A number of significant works of art are located in the region such as the magnificent Crivelli Madonna and Child in Monte San Martino.
